KUALA LUMPUR, 6 March - PMB Investment Berhad (PMB Investment) has secured eight prestigious awards across three of its funds at the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) Lipper Fund Awards 2024 today. Its Chief Executive Officer, Mahani Ibrahim said the winning is a testament of the company’s unwavering dedication to excellence, reaffirming its ability in investment management and empowering investors. She said the strategic goal of enhancing value of the investors’ portfolios via delivering robust performance and tailoring solutions in any market environment, emphasizes the company’s future focus. “We extend our gratitude to LSEG Lipper, as these awards underscores the expertise and commitment of PMB Investment in delivering premier solutions to unit trust and pension fund markets in our country’’.
PMB Dana Bestari (PMB DB) received the Equity Malaysia Income Award at LSEG Lipper Award for both the three (3) and five (5)-year periods respectively, while PMB Shariah Tactical Fund (PMB STF) secured Mixed Asset MYR Flexible Award, also for the same three and five-year periods, ending 31 December 2023. Meanwhile, PMB Shariah Equity Fund (PMB SEF) clinched two coveted awards, securing the Equity Malaysia Diversified Award in Malaysia Islamic Funds and the Malaysia Pension Funds category for the three (3) and five (5)-year periods respectively, for year ending on 31 December last year.
Mahani said that these accolades underscore PMB Investment's commitment to delivering high-quality conventional investments, spanning equity, income, and mixed assets solutions. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Pelaburan MARA Berhad, PMB Investment continues to demonstrate its prowess in investment and asset management under the umbrella of MARA Corporation Sdn Bhd, she added. PMB Shariah Tactical Fund achieving returns of 23% and 70% over the three (3) and five (5)-year periods, ending 31 December 2023, while PMB Shariah Equity Fund demonstrates impressive returns of 36% and 170% over the same periods respectively.
PMB Dana Bestari meanwhile delivered outstanding returns of 32% and 87% over three (3) and five (5)-year periods, respectively last year. PMB Investment operates as an Islamic Fund Management Company (IFMC), managing 19-unit trust funds including wholesale funds, and several portfolio mandates, with investments spanning equity and sukuk asset classes.
