PMB Investment Berhad (PMB Investment), a wholly owned subsidiary of Pelaburan MARA Berhad (Pelaburan MARA), has been awarded the Global Islamic Finance Award (GIFA) 2020 under the Islamic Asset Management category in Islamabad, Pakistan.

According to Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin, Acting Group Chief Executive Officer of Pelaburan MARA, “GIFA 2020 represents the highest global standard of excellence, recognising governments, institutions, and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding performance in their respective fields and contributed to the sustainability of the Islamic finance and international banking sectors.”
GIFA was established in 2011 by Edbiz Corporation. The GIFA awards ceremony is held annually to highlight, encourage, and reward outstanding performance and contributions to the growth of the global Islamic financial and banking community. The main objective is to promote social responsibility, adherence to Shariah authenticity, and commitment to the sector. As the only global Islamic finance award programme, GIFA winners come from around the world.
Commenting further, Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah added, “Last July, PMB Investment also received recognition in the Recommended Unit Trust Awards 2020/21 by FSMOne (formerly known as Fundsupermart) for its PMB Shariah Premier Fund under the Malaysia Equity (Islamic) category.”
