PMB Tijari as the Implementing Agent of SPiM PENJANA IPTS @ MARA (National Economic Recovery Plan targeting IPTS) today handed over offer letters to three eligible IPTS. PMB Tijari is a member of the MARA Investment Group.
SPiM PENJANA IPTS is a Shariah-compliant financing facility aimed at assisting Bumiputera entrepreneurs who have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This facility was launched on July 2, 2020, and provides business financing specifically for covering operational costs.
Since the platform's launch, 25 IPTS have received financing offers totaling RM155.3 million. Out of these, only 13 IPTS have submitted complete documents, enabling a total of RM60.6 million in financing to be disbursed.
Today, three IPTS that successfully received financing offers are Malaysia Allied Health Sciences Academy (MAHSA) with RM50 million, MSU Holdings Sdn. Bhd. (MSU) with RM50 million, and City University with RM28 million.
The handover ceremony was witnessed by Datuk Dr. Abd Latiff Ahmad, Minister of Rural Development, Datuk Azhar Abdul Manaf, Director General of MARA, Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman, Executive Director of Mara Corporation, Tengku Ahmad Badli Shah Raja Hussin, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the MARA Investment Group, and Norati Ibrahim, Acting Chief Executive Officer of PMB Tijari.
PMB Tijari, established in 2014, is a member of the MARA Investment Group and offers Shariah-compliant financing to potential entrepreneurs through specifically designed financing products to meet the needs of entrepreneurs.
