Kuala Lumpur, 4 October 2024 - PMB Investment Berhad (PMB Investment), an Islamic Fund Management Company (IFMC) under Pelaburan MARA Berhad, today announced the appointment of Datuk Mohd Idzwan Izuddin Ab Rahman as its new Chairman for a two-year term, effective 30 September 2024. This appointment marks a significant milestone for PMB Investment in its continuous effort to strengthen growth and leadership in the Islamic investment sector.
Datuk Mohd Idzwan brings over 12 years of experience in the financial and investment industry, with a proven track record in leadership and strategic management. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology from the University of Salford, United Kingdom. He has also completed professional certification in Islamic Finance.
Prior to this appointment, Datuk Mohd Idzwan held several senior executive positions, including Executive Director at Bintai Kinden Corporation Berhad and Invesco Capital Management Berhad. He also served as Chief Executive Officer and Director of CDMH Capital Sdn Bhd. His diverse experience spans across industries such as telecommunications, banking, and asset management.
Beyond his corporate roles, Datuk Mohd Idzwan has contributed his expertise as a board member in various committees, including as a member of the Olympic Council of Malaysia and as a board advisor to the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN), where he chaired the procurement and investment division.
