Kuala Lumpur, 19 June 2024 – PMB Tijari Berhad (PMB Tijari), a wholly owned subsidiary of Pelaburan MARA Berhad, contributed two (2) sacrificial cows valued at nearly RM11,000 to Masjid Al Ikhlasiah, Bukit Kerinchi, Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration.

The symbolic handover of the donation was conducted by PMB Tijari Chief Executive Officer, Puan Norleza Abu Bakar, alongside the Chairman of Masjid Al Ikhlasiah, Tuan Haji Abas Mohamed Khatib. Also present were Deputy Chief Imam of Masjid Al Ikhlasiah, Ustaz Mohd Talhah Alimin @ Abd Azizi, and PMB Tijari Senior Manager of Finance & Strategic Planning, Encik Mohammad Nazri Daud.

According to Puan Norleza, as a corporate entity under the Pelaburan MARA Group and MARA Corporation Sdn Bhd, PMB Tijari remains committed to supporting meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

“One of our core CSR pillars is to empower knowledge, foster community harmony, and support environmental sustainability. This includes working alongside government agencies and NGOs on impactful activities that align with our shared objectives,” said Puan Norleza.

She added that the sacrificial cow donation program marks the first of its kind by PMB Tijari, held in conjunction with Aidiladha on the second day of Tashrik (12 Zulhijjah 1445H). It also forms part of the company’s 10th anniversary celebration.

Under this initiative, PMB Tijari fully funded the purchase of the sacrificial cows, while Masjid Al Ikhlasiah, a strategic partner, was responsible for identifying 80 eligible asnaf (underprivileged) families and overseeing the meat distribution.

This CSR effort is one of several planned as part of PMB Tijari’s 10th anniversary, launched in April 2024. A series of CSR programs and corporate events will continue until 31 March 2025, aimed at strengthening the PMB Tijari brand and building stronger ties with stakeholders and the public.
