Dr Azmi bin Amat Murjan
Director
Dr. Azmi joined the Board of Pelaburan MARA as a Director on 13 February 2026. He is currently the Senior Director of Investment at Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA).
He joined MARA in 1995 as an Economic Officer attached to the Internal Audit and Business Unit. Since then, he has held various positions in the areas of entrepreneurship and management within the public sector.
With over 25 years of hands-on experience in strategic planning, cost management and financial analysis, Dr. Azmi has held key positions as State Director in Sarawak, Perak, Johor and Melaka, and also spent a year as Deputy Director of the Policy and Strategic Planning Division.
Dr. Azmi holds a PhD in Business Administration from Universiti Utara Malaysia, where he also completed his MBA. Prior to that, he obtained a B.Sc. in Accounting from the University of North Carolina, USA, in 1994.
